Hello, hello. So, what has happened recently? Well, for one, I recently quit my job of seven years because of many reasons, one of which is the fact that I was pretty much underpaid (basically, I'm almost positive people who have been there for less time than I had been were getting paid more than me, and others exactly the same, oh yes, experience counts for many things, but apparently it doesn't mean that Ashley gets a fucking raise, ever) and there were many frustrating situations in the past while that I just had enough. Potentially not my greatest decision, because I need a job due to the fact I'll be starting school again next month. Ah, school~ How I've missed you in ways.

Ah, with school means I start French again! Ah, French~ I only know a little of you (though I'm watching a French crime drama right now called Spiral, and aside from the not-so-good dead girl, it's pretty good, and I'm catching more than I thought I would be able to audio wise, though I am using subtitles, I'm trying to pay attention with my ears).I'll have to organise my French learning and my random studying by myself Japanese to different times and such. More things to talk to myself about!

Doctor Who has started again. Every year of Moffat's run at it makes me less excited about it. There are a handful of episodes that have stuck in my mind as fairly decent. Particularly Vincent and the Doctor, The Lodger (best non-companion character as of his run, better than the companions actually, I like all of the episodes with Craig, their friendship~), The Doctor's Wife, The Girl Who Waited, The God Complex, and Closing Time (absolutely none of these episodes are Moffat episodes, in fact, I rather dislike most of him episodes in the end, he was much better when he wasn't show runner, and even then, his best was Blink). I mean, I enjoyed the episode as I watched it (Asylum of the Daleks), but in the end, it wasn't that great. On the other hand, looking forward to next week's, because Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.

Anyway! Back to Spiral.

Supernatural Season Seven Episode Nine 'How To Win Friends and Influence Monsters' Spoilers )

So many people have been talked to this week that I haven't seen in a while. It's nice, I rather liked these people.

Snow is beautiful, and I am getting yelled at to wear a winter jacket at work. :l I don't want my jackets to smell like work though, so I'll stick to my sweater. It's my grad sweater though.

Today was the Santa Claus Parade. It was decent.

V6! WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS? GIMMIE! UGH, SO BEAUTIFUL~ (I shouldn't have watched that.)

I have four episodes of Bloody Monday 2 to go! I love this show, so much. Oh, so much.

I should really get to the stuff I need to draw. I've been putting it off, because I haven't been feeling it at all. *sigh* Well, I'll at least do one thing tonight for sure, though it's not going to be anything at all at the same time.

My nails are starting their breaking again. D: Need a nail growing holiday.

And so The Doctor, in Bangladesh, decided he needed to do something about the Teddy Bear with massive eyebrows that was approaching Rose. )

First off, I'm extremely slow or something. I've had my phone for two and a half years I believe, and I really am not a phone person, but that's no excuse. I just figured out that I can email myself from my phone... That makes this photo quite appropriate. I love how there was a vehicle parked at that parking meter when I took that picture. This means I can transfer my 30 second singing recordings, that I do when I'm bored and waiting, on my phone to my email now... YAY! My eh singing can be kept. XD The reason I even tried though was because of this, which the point of was to welcome back my co-worker from vacation, as I had to leave a note for her in the morning. Also, soup.

Five days of work done! Yay!

Ah, so there is a change of plans for my going away. Seems I'm leaving on Wednesday night now, rather than the Thursday morning. I'll be in Winnipeg until Sunday, and then I'll be camping from Sunday to Wednesday (at least), though the camping will possibly be extended until the Sunday, and I commute back and forth for work on the Friday-Sunday. I will be in town on the 17th though, as I have laundry to do, and other such things.

Honestly, I don't know how I feel about people finding out about my birthday coming up at the point when they try to guess my age, and they guess a really high number... I really do look older than I am, don't I? *sigh* The one asked in jest though, as he's heard my many complaints about this kind of thing.

Paint needs to come with more black and white. Seriously. Also, I need to actually go buy myself some chalk soon, as I kind of miss it, and it's messy, messy ways.

I have gotten the most favourites for something I've ever gotten on DA the other day. SIX! Woo! XD

I'm really liking Troubleman, well, as much as I've seen of it. Shige ♥

[Adds before she forgets] I'm not going to Ai-kon by the looks of things. T_T Actually I'm not as upset as I'm trying to make myself out to be. Sometimes things just don't work I suppose.

So, that phone call I got yesterday at work was apparently some weird scam person trying to get information to get our passwords and stuff like that. I think I made him angry too. Ah well, it was kind of amusing in that weird-situation-where-you-don't-know-what-the-fuck-is-going-on kind of way.

I love my iTunes and it's complete randomness. ♥ Carly Simon, woo!

My one co-worker absolutly adores Zoey Deschanel, and was playing her second CD as I drove her home. Ah, I'm so weak for cuteness, and she wrote a song on Orpheus and Persephone, which made my Greek mythology fangirl heart go all happy. Ah, why is she so cute?

There was a baby robin in our backyard today, and it's still there, but my dog was investigating. We got him away from it, and my mom got all worried that it was dead. I took a look at it, and it was only scared half to death. It was heaving quite heavily, and I felt bad for the poor thing, but I couldn't do anything for it (it's mother was around, and I don't think she would have been as understanding as the last robin's parents that I got to get out of the middle of the road). When we left, the parents relocated it to the other side of our yard. It still had it's down feathers, so it wasn't at flying age, so I'm wondering if the high power winds we're experiencing knocked it from it's nest.

I have the next two days off! I should probably start drawing out that picture tomorrow, seeing as I have the time. Now to decide on what to draw... On a similar note though, the mention of Love Vomit the other day in the RP did nothing good for my brain, but remind me of a certain terrible smelling painting... I can still smell it! Oh god!

[Added later] It's amusing me how all this Arashi reverse speak for the AU CMs has me wanting to write everything in reverse again. So much fun. ♥

I hate my memory sometimes. There was some epic fail due to it today. I threw out something I needed, and then I remade it, but found out later that there was some extra stuff pre-made, which I had already knew about due to seeing if it was there earlier... Damn.

I'd really appreciate it if some people would stop going, "OMG! YOU SWORE!" whenever I do, because really, it's not that unusual (I think I brought this up a few entries or so ago as well). Most of the time I swear, I'm usually alone, or I mumble (apparenlty I mumble too much) it, so no one really hears me. Ah well, it's not anything to worry about really, it's just that reaction is a bit tiring to hear (because I swear I've been getting it every so often since grade nine, which was six/seven years ago).

I've been listing to Tegomasu a lot since the weekend, because I finally got around to watching their first concert DVD. Ah, why are they so adorable for completely different reasons. Ah, and I would really like NEWS to release something new soon (also known as the ending theme to TROUBLEMAN, because I like it a lot), because as much as I love them, all I end up listening to is Tegomasu songs, Koyashige songs, as well as LIAR, Sayaendou, weeeek, SNOW EXPRESS, Labirynth, and Koi no ABO particularly. I like the other songs, but for some reason, those songs cause amusement and entertainment for me in particular.

I managed to hurt both of my arms somewhat on Saturday while I was out... On a similar, and related note, I almost wiped out four times on my way to work due to the sidewalks sucking (who ever takes care of sidewalks and streets here fail, horribly, and there are many complaints that go to the city about it too), and me not paying complete attention to where I was skating.

Day four of the Memorial Cup is complete, and apparently we aren't made of as much fail as I thought. I was shocked, though my reaction was more along the lines of, "Someone fails more than us? The hell?". All we have to do it beat Calgary, and we are in the finals, but we have a record of being about equal to them in regular season, and then failing against them in the playoffs (seems I know more about how our hockey team does than I thought, which makes me feel weird, because I don't really care for hockey, though I still find it enjoyable to play, but not so much to watch). Actually, the only reason we're in the round robin finals is because we are hosting it.

I'm thinking Tegomasu is not the best background music for something I'm planning on writing out for tomorrow, but I don't want to change it! If I do change it, it'll end up my Ohno playlist being played though... Maybe changing for a bit isn't so bad. [Adds later...] I've definatly mentioned when I'm writing at the rp at some point, so it's not so much of a shock, but I can't stop thinking about it... I have a terrible mind.

I've started going through my pile of books again. Currently I'm at 40/84 books, in regards to those on my bookshelf, and I have about five of those 44 other books started. I'm going to focus on finishing Battle Royal, and Frankenstein first though, as the one is too awkward to lug around, and the other fits nicely in my bag, which makes me happy. Then I suppose I'll finish that Anne Rice novel, the one book about a time machine, and the one that seems to be about pirates or something so far.

I thought this was kind of amusing. SPN fangirl reactions to secondary characters. Primarily because I end up being in that group who wonders why we are supposedly supposed to hate them. *shrug*

[Random note] I will be away from Wednesday Morning to about Sunday Night, with possible random moments of being online mid-afternoon Wednesday, and mid-afternoon Thursday. Camping! Yay! Need to go buy a fishing license though.

A quick post before I take my dog for a run.

I was reading the newspaper yesterday (Ah, it feels weird to say this, because if it was a few years ago, or even last year, I wouldn't be, but lately I've been reading on occasion, but our local paper sucks, so), and there was an article about a recall of baby strollers because the handle comes off by itself. The only thing I could think of after that was some lady walking with the stroller down a hill, when the handle suddenly comes off, and the stroller shoots down the hill, into busy traffic, which all miss it, with the mother running behind it waving the handle wildly... I have terrible thoughts.

It's either today or the 25th, but I think it's today, which is my fifth year anniversary at my job. I was going to check before I left work today, but I forgot. Ah well. Either way, looking back, five years is a shit load of people in regards to coming and going as coworkers. But they do make for interesting examples of people, so who am I to complain.

I'm going to go camping this weekend! Yay! It's with a pop-up camper and all (I prefer tents and all the horribleness that come with them), but it's still exciting. Mind, my idea of camping lately is hiking (which doesn't happen nearly enough in my opinion, as I love it, but my family tends to prefer walks about instead... I should just go myself), sleeping (which I get a whole lot of banked in, and I do love the four o'clock afternoon naps I take there), failing at fishing (in all fairness, I am new to it, and have yet to catch something, though a fish stole my bait once, and half my bait another time), and reading (I should finish what's on my shelf sooner). I &heart; camping.

Random thinking back to when I was younger is fun, because I'm still an immature person. I was thinking of my Polly Pocket collection yesterday, and I realized something. All of my Polly Pockets were pretty much lesbians, mind the one guy, and the two twins (which were named after Castor and Pollux, the Gemini twins and the 'twin stars' of the Gemini constellation) I decided were guys and evil. I also made the bride one be an evil witch who went around murdering people and turning them into seals, teddy bears, horses, elephants, monkeys, polar bears, and cars. Ah, to be eight again, though the only thing stopping me from starting it up right now is the fact that they are all packed away.

Our local WHL hockey team is fail. I mean, I realize we are hosting the Memorial Cup and all, so I should be supporting you, but you people kind of fail... A lot. I can only seem to find myself to cheer for you because I support your #11 player because I went to elementary school with him, and he's generally a nice guy, who tries hard, and was the only reason you guys got goals in a few games. Mind, I also don't really like hockey, so I'm just kind of watching out of town people go about town, doing their thing, trying to guess which ones they are when they come into my work (which is really obvious in regards to whether or not they are wearing a jersey for their team).

Now to go outside! Yay for the weather being better than it was.

I feel like I've been neglecting the rp somewhat right now... I have been horribly distracted though, and trying to plot my next move, though that happens at work, because I don't really need to think to hard to do my work in the mornings.

I have now spent the past few days watching HSJ stuff. I've decided that I am probably going to ignore the singles prior to MNSB, as I tried liking those songs, and just can't. At all, and I like most music I hear (unless it's Justin Bieber or Miley). On another note, I kind of need a HSJ related icon.

On the next order of business. Fuck yeah! This made me happy, though my natural O.o with articles still applies until I see it in solid form. But still, *dances*.

List of random incidences at work while boss is on holidays for week so far (that I know of):
1 Receiving a phonecall from an unknown company saying they are coming to do work. Thank you head office for informing a change of company to deal with. It's so helpful.
2 A printer has decided to be stupid. it's been stupid for a week now, but now it's doubly stupid, with the ink being all weird. I'm just glad I know how to force the other printer to print stuff it's not supposed to.
3 Way to set off the alarm by accident people. Seriously, especially seeing as you're the one who set it off on me that one time. Ah, going to work at 11pm in my PJs (because I'm far to lazy to change, and the pants are plaid, so it's not so bad) is my idea of fun.
I haven't been informed of any happenings this fine Wednesday though, and I have this fine Thursday booked off, so if anything interesting happened, I won't know until Friday.

Supernatural finale tomorrow (technically today, but whatever). I've ignored all spoilers for this, primarily because I don't like spoilers in the form of typed word.

... I was supposed to look up classes for next regular term tonight but opted to go rollerblading instead. Shit... I need to sign up for some anthro, and possibly a language course, because I kind of want a minor in another language. The only options I have are French, German, Italian, or Spanish though. I'm thinking French would be the best choice. I kind of wish we had Mandarin classes, because it would be so helpful to me. For anthro though, I either would want to go into the forensics end or the applied anthropology end, so I should look into that. I don't want to be going into arch at all. Seems I should be taking artifact analysis though, which I will most likly. Ah, why did I take three years to decide this? I'm still young (though my face seems to say otherwise... My habits too apparenlty...), and it sounds funny to say that, but I look at these people my age in a rush, and while I feel slightly left behind, I realize I'm just going at my own pace and shouldn't worry about them at all. Because I forgot to sign up, I'm probably going to be on the waiting list for osteology now.

I've fallen into my summer sleeping habits again. This is somewhat not good, but I'm not going to let it bother me, seeing as I've finally developed the ability to wake up when I need to go to something earlier than the afternoon, and actually have been waking up a minute before my alarm goes off in those cases.

Doctor Who not working... Missed aired episode today... What the hell!? I think I'm going to watch some Kaibutsu-kun just to get over this slight saddening moment. Not happy I miss happy fandom awesome at all. I suppose I shall have to watch it next eve/night/morning. I do work at nine thirty after all.

Ah, work. Your random weirdness lately is just head shake worthy, but I suppose that's alright. Apparently I have gotten better at recognizing people as they walk by that alone, or the fact I'm terrible for recognizing people in the first place, especially in regards to names. I need a face, or something people! Even an ear would do, though if I started checking everyones ears, that would be a bit odd.

My family seems to be getting ready for camping season. Honestly, I'm okay not going, but they really want to go. Then again, now that we have a camper, the magic is somewhat gone for me. I liked the tent, and the cold that comes from the tent, with the wearing of the sweaters, and socks as you sleep, and the air mattress that has contracted in size due to the chill of the night, and won't go back to normal in the morning, so you have to add more air to it the next evening before bed. The lack of technology, where no one can contact you (sorry Reon), and all you have are your trusty Kamechan and Kuro, as well as your constant companions Pichan and Kenta (I do suppose this isn't a lack of technology then, but more lack of contact, mind your likely neighbours and the random forest animals). Where you can loose yourself in a book while you escape the cold of the shade and sit in the warm sun, which you then sit in to fish, and in the end get horrible sunburn. I do suppose you get some of these things with a camper, but it still doesn't feel the same. No more pancakes over a campfire either. So sad.

I had chinese food that wasn't actually chinese food tonight. I also had a conversation on food (of the non-North American kind), which led to me drawing a picture of a squid, and then it lead to a conversation about cell phone coverage and such around the world. Everyone has such cooler cell phones than us! Or it's the ones you can get here, which are just not attractive at all to me, so that could be the cause of my feelings there.

My Vaporeon just totally defeated the Elite Four all by itself. This amuses me. I love Harkness so much! Yes... I named it Harkness. If is is any help, my Flareon is named Cooper and my Jolteon is named Jones. Now I need an Espeon named Sato and an Umbreon named Harper, and all will be complete. Complete I say!

I am so not looking forward to Tuesday.

My reaction to Supernatural on Thursday, through smiley faces.

(episode starts getting good) :)

(episode reaches climax) :O
(episode ends) D:
The ending made me not happy at all, but then again, it could be because I liked that character a lot.

So, operation convert-a-coworker is going fairly smoothly. So far she fits in the 'kind of an Arashi fan' category. I think with liking the songs and thinking Sho is quite good looking. She also really likes his rapping (his rapping is what started all of this), and his voice. She also agrees that Haruna Ai is amazingly pretty, and generally amazing so far, thinks Nino's not quite aging is a bit creepy, and that Gackt is okay looking with a sadistic vampire feel to him. I mention looks because that's a primary focus of hers it seems. Oh, and I was playing Perfume at work (whenever I play music at work, it amuses me because it weirds out the customers just a tiny bit, and my co-workers seem to like the stuff, which they thought they would never), and she seemed to like that. Also, she put it on Tokei Jikake no Umbrella and a guy changed it as he really didn't like it, but he did like Super Fresh, and Truth ~Saigo no Shinjustu by w-inds.

I hate headaches... I've been getting them a lot for the past little while. It hasn't been as bad as that one year though. What was that? 2007? 2008? Something like that. As long as they don't get like that I'll be happy.

I have next Saturday off! This is amazing! I rarely get Saturday's off, so my week is normally:
Mon - class
Tues - class and work
Wed - class
Thurs - class
Fri - class and work
Sat - work
Sun - work
The downfall is that I do have some neglected cleaning I should get done that day. I suppose I will.

Today I did something different with my hair, which is indeed quite rare. I normally just tie it in a ponytail, and instead I just tied my bangs back, which aren't really bangs as they are pretty much the same length as my normal hair. Either way, for me it is different than the norm.

Well, on to making massive email!

Exam on Tuesday morning, and then I am free! Also, I have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday off this week, so I'm quite overjoyed... I hate work so much lately. *shakes fist at it* My past few shifts haven't even had proper zone out time! Makes me sad...

I was going through my list of dramas I have watched, as I was adding to it (some Gekidan Engimono and Kindaichi Shonen no Jinkenbo 3), and I was checking some stuff. I have a bunch of random links for songs and stuff after all, and some songs I don't have anywhere in my computer, but I still like them. I really need to get on that.

Random videos... Kind of? )

It's always the maid...

I've never seen the point of the revolver in Clue... The other weapons are relatively silent, so are the rooms sound proof or something? I can understand if there is something silencing it and all, but couldn't they come up with something more entertainingly giggleworthy? Frying Pan in the Conservatory? Seriously though, if the killer's an idiot, then people would hear him! On that note, my two favourite boardgames are Clue and Monopoly, and it is really hard to find people that will play them with me... Sad.

I seem to have a fondness for using "..." at the end of my sentences. Probably a good thing in a way.

I do believe I shall be going through and watching all of VS Arashi again, finish some drama watching (Why is there so much? I need to finish this before the next season), and possibly attempt to watch Gossip Girl (someone is pestering me to, so I did promise I would watch a bit) over the holidays. See how this goes.
