Been away. Yes, yes. I be back.

So, had a family dinner thing over the weekend, so I was in Virden all weekend. Actually, it was my grandpa's 80th birthday dinner and tea. I'll start from Friday I suppose.
So, on Friday I worked until three, and it was fucking busy. I was the person taking care of Taco Bell today, and I must say, it was a good thing it was Becky (whom had the day off) or I. Fucking busy on Taco Bell, and it was annoying as hell. On my break I went clothes shopping, as I needed some more 'tanks' (as I cannot for the life of me spell the word that begins with 'camo') to wear under stuff. [lets take a break to list the clothes Ashley has bought recently... two shirts, two Dresses (yes. Dresses), one pair of capris, one pair of shorts, four 'tanks', one vest (using british term for 'ease of use'), and one pair of shoes] I've been buying a lot of clothes (well, for me) lately. Don't know if that is good or not, but I think I'm going to stop with the clothes for a bit.
After work we headed out to Virden. We were staying in the campgrounds there. By 'we' I mean; us, Ronnie and co., Val and co., and Ray and co. Mind you, the names are my aunts and uncles on my mothers side, and the 'co.' is their respected spouses and children (mind Ray, whom has no children, and just Linda, his wife). Anyways, we were all camping in the same spot pretty much, and had four gazebos up, as well as a cook tent. We all stayed in campers.
On Saturday, my mom, sister, cousin Melissa, and I went shopping for stuff we needed for the dinner, as well as some stuff for my sister and I. My sister went shopping for a swim suit, and found one, which was nice. I on the other hand went shopping for shoes to wear with a dress [These are the shoes and one dress in that list above]. I found a nice pair of heels, and am damn glad I can walk in heels with no real problem, despite never really wearing heels above and inch before. [I really like European/British shoes. Main reason, they tend to come in my size] We also bought flowers for my grandpa (He's a flowers kind of guy, honestly. He has this garden and everything) as well as picked up the fruit bread (which included cinnamon, cherry, and raisin bread) for the tea.
After all this shopping, we went swimming for a little while at the pool in Virden. It has a waterslide, as well and random fountain things. The people there included Melissa, Darwin (both Val's children), Dustyn (one of Ronnies kids), and Dustyn's friend, as well as my sister. The adults remained at camp. We played hide-and-go-seek in the pool area for a good while before we eventually left.
After that, not much happened until supper was being getting ready. Dustyn and his friend decided to go and swing on the swings in the camps playground. Bad times indeed. The swing Dustyn's friend was on broke (they were up very pathetically anyways), and he landed on his leg very awkwardly. So awkwardly, he broke it and we had to call in an ambulence. He was then wisked off, back to Brandon. Ronnie went with him of course. Turns out it was two breaks and a fracture.
I am going to take the time to note, this is the first time I have been, a) around someone when they have broken something, and b) around anyone who has had to get an ambulence called in to wisk them off, so it was a very odd experience for me.
After dinner, Ray and Linda drove Dustyn, who was a little worried (obviously, who wouldn't be, when you are the one who's invited them along?). They ended up being there almost all night, and when they returned, they returned with Dallas (Ronnie's other boy) and his girlfriend.
The next day was the tea and dinner. We were up at seven thirty getting the food prepped, and ourselves. The tea began at one, and that is when I wore my one dress and new shoes. The deserts at the tea were delicious. Now, it was a 'afternoon tea' right? Which means there needs to be tea of course, which everyone promptly forgot to buy before the tea, so at the begining, I ran out with my one cousin and bought some bloody tea. They were very ready...
After the tea it was photo time. Lawrence, a relative, whom is awesome, kind of bears a resemblance to Ronnie, so they had some pictures together. Most of the pictures were taken in regards to my grandpa surrounded by family. Individual families, just the children, just the grandchildren, and everyone. In the 'just the grandchildren' one, my sister has bunny ears in one photo.
Then it was time for the dinner. I changed into my other dress (I'm usually in uniform, so I took it as time to play dress-up. Besides, I generally do the laundry, so I'm just burdening myself) and wore different shoes. Shoes I had around here, but never wore them before. Anyways, the dinner was excellent, and there were many interesting conversations to be had. My favourite conversation was with this one person named Mary Ellen. I had gone with her to retrieve a book for my mom, and had a wonderful time talking to her about family heritage. I look forward to our next meeting.
That night was an un-winding time for the family. Some other people came over to the campground. One of those people is this awesome person 'named' Easy. Anyways, on to him later. So, Dallas, Dustyn, Kaitlin (Not sure if this is the proper spelling. I only know it starts with 'K'), Megan, and I played poker in the corner. I promptly won. We then played Scrabble, which Dallas and Kaitlin won. After that, we were all just sitting around. Dustyn loves to scare Kaitlin, so he hid in the tent and did just that. It was amusing. From there on, Dustyn and Dar were both working to scare her as much as possible. Easy was always the first to point out their hiding spots though. At one point in this there was a comment with caused Easy to gain beer up his nose, which ended with amusing results. Also, when Sherrie (Ronnie's wife), got up from the picnic table, she was the only one on that side, while there were three on the other. It almost flipped over.
Monday was just going home time.
I wish I has more money, mind most would be spent on clothes it seems.
I watched this when I got home. I watched both Sunday's and Monday's. All of the performances were excellent, and Andrew Lloyd Webber was there! It was all quite entertaining. In the end Merisa was sent home, which felt right, mind I love her voice.
My fingers hurt from typing and such. I think I might go watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog now, and the leaving words from the Maria's.
