Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Murakami Haruki. I've been mentioning this book a lot, but I haven't directly recced it to you yet. XD Anyway, the premise is kind of hard to explain without getting into too much detail, but I like that the two worlds the protagonist is placed in are so distinct both in setting and in writing style, yet so connected. It's strange and enchanting and inventive without being loopy or difficult to get into -- my favorite of his works.

A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin!!

I don't know what genre you like though... I'm actually addicted to these books so I couldn't help but give you this suggestion! ;)

It's a fantasy story, with "dark" themes and A LOT of plot :)

I read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy, but I'll read anything and everything.

I've heard a lot about these books, and now that they've been properly recommended to me I'll just have to check them out. :)
