Oh gosh, hello again~ I find myself once more glued to my DS and making spreadsheets to track the Pokémon I catch in my games (I'm preparing for the release of Black and White 2, clearly). Pokémon, why so addicting? Either way, I'm accounting for physiological differences, specifically sexual dimorphism of differently Pokémon species. Obsessive? Yeah, a bit. It passes the time though, and stuff.

And now that the Pokémon crazy talk is out of the way, more under the cut. )

I seem to have wound up with plenty of time to work on the mural next week, though Monday is a bit worrying, as I think I'm to look after the dog that day... Which means I can work in the morning I guess, but other than that, I seem to not be able to. Tuesday and Wednesday would mean I have to be home in time to take my mom to work, though I also work Wednesday, so that kind of works, and Friday, I can probably take the whole daytime until work. Now to just get some help for resizing, as it's kind of a pain to have to do myself. On that topic, they've also given me a key for the room, so I don't have to look for anyone to let me in all the time. Makes things easier, no?

I finished reading Battle Royale the other night, and I loved it. Such a good book. ♥ The movie on the other hand, while the acting was quite good, could have been longer. I don't like it when movies feel rushed, and besides, I can sit for a long time if I have to.

My new current book (that I started at the same time as about 5 others, months ago, but am determined to finish now): The Accidental Time Machine.

Thursday was my first day of classes, and they seem like they will be fun. I have to do logic studies on 10 newspaper articles throughout the term, and I also have to do a research project involving the observation of people in a certain environment. I'm not to sure what I want to do for sure on that one, and I need ideas by Thursday. I'm wondering if I can add food into it to just make it pleasant for me, because I already plan on bringing along Kenta.

Ah, on the topic of Kenta, I adore that I have Wi-Fi everywhere in the University pretty much. It makes it so much easier if I need information now.

Today was Free Ice Cream Day for the students of the University. I forgot until I went to buy my books. I got Heavenly Hash. ♥ Ah, textbooks are so expensive.

I should go to sleep. I think this is the latest I've stayed up all week.

And now for my request, and the main reason I am posting tonight/this morning/whatever: I'm looking for music that involves stars, and planets, and well, just space in general. I think it would be fun to paint with. I already play LET'S GO TO THE PLANETS while I paint right now...

I hate my memory sometimes. There was some epic fail due to it today. I threw out something I needed, and then I remade it, but found out later that there was some extra stuff pre-made, which I had already knew about due to seeing if it was there earlier... Damn.

I'd really appreciate it if some people would stop going, "OMG! YOU SWORE!" whenever I do, because really, it's not that unusual (I think I brought this up a few entries or so ago as well). Most of the time I swear, I'm usually alone, or I mumble (apparenlty I mumble too much) it, so no one really hears me. Ah well, it's not anything to worry about really, it's just that reaction is a bit tiring to hear (because I swear I've been getting it every so often since grade nine, which was six/seven years ago).

I've been listing to Tegomasu a lot since the weekend, because I finally got around to watching their first concert DVD. Ah, why are they so adorable for completely different reasons. Ah, and I would really like NEWS to release something new soon (also known as the ending theme to TROUBLEMAN, because I like it a lot), because as much as I love them, all I end up listening to is Tegomasu songs, Koyashige songs, as well as LIAR, Sayaendou, weeeek, SNOW EXPRESS, Labirynth, and Koi no ABO particularly. I like the other songs, but for some reason, those songs cause amusement and entertainment for me in particular.

I managed to hurt both of my arms somewhat on Saturday while I was out... On a similar, and related note, I almost wiped out four times on my way to work due to the sidewalks sucking (who ever takes care of sidewalks and streets here fail, horribly, and there are many complaints that go to the city about it too), and me not paying complete attention to where I was skating.

Day four of the Memorial Cup is complete, and apparently we aren't made of as much fail as I thought. I was shocked, though my reaction was more along the lines of, "Someone fails more than us? The hell?". All we have to do it beat Calgary, and we are in the finals, but we have a record of being about equal to them in regular season, and then failing against them in the playoffs (seems I know more about how our hockey team does than I thought, which makes me feel weird, because I don't really care for hockey, though I still find it enjoyable to play, but not so much to watch). Actually, the only reason we're in the round robin finals is because we are hosting it.

I'm thinking Tegomasu is not the best background music for something I'm planning on writing out for tomorrow, but I don't want to change it! If I do change it, it'll end up my Ohno playlist being played though... Maybe changing for a bit isn't so bad. [Adds later...] I've definatly mentioned when I'm writing at the rp at some point, so it's not so much of a shock, but I can't stop thinking about it... I have a terrible mind.

I've started going through my pile of books again. Currently I'm at 40/84 books, in regards to those on my bookshelf, and I have about five of those 44 other books started. I'm going to focus on finishing Battle Royal, and Frankenstein first though, as the one is too awkward to lug around, and the other fits nicely in my bag, which makes me happy. Then I suppose I'll finish that Anne Rice novel, the one book about a time machine, and the one that seems to be about pirates or something so far.

I thought this was kind of amusing. SPN fangirl reactions to secondary characters. Primarily because I end up being in that group who wonders why we are supposedly supposed to hate them. *shrug*

[Random note] I will be away from Wednesday Morning to about Sunday Night, with possible random moments of being online mid-afternoon Wednesday, and mid-afternoon Thursday. Camping! Yay! Need to go buy a fishing license though.

My hands... They bleed! It's kind of sore too.

I think after three years of this, I may now completely loathe the Grey Cup. Damn you football and your ability to make people buy silly food that I don't want to be there to sell. I might just take this day off next year. I do have the next two days off though, and I work during the day, so it isn't overly bad for me I suppose. I get to leave around the middle of the rush, and shockingly I got sent home a half hour early today. Huzzah!

It has been realized that because of the types of people I hang out with, they generally are not Twilight fans at all, and while I do admit the first book isn't that bad (it has shockingly good pacing, but Edward is still a creepy stalker no matter what), the second book is just terrible, and I shall never read the next two. I do have co-workers who are Twilight fans though, and today that's what they wanted to talk about. Specifically New Moon. I am glad I didn't get the line "You just don't understand their love", and instead just got the fact that she thinks it is romantic (why, I don't know, and neither does she). Damn you Twilight and your vampires that sparkle! I think I might will go watch Dracula (the Keanu Reeves one for laughs) and Interview With A Vampire instead. I'm tempted to lend her my copy of Dracula...

Tonight I need to study for my test tomorrow... I'll get to it. It's on evolution, so a large majority I have learned already.

Seems I might see Ninja Assassin on Thursday, providing my plans stay true. Great thing to do after a final.

I think I may have just started the potential for a possibly addicting hobby. We shall see how this goes. I believe I'll be starting some point next week...

I bought something that is classified as a weapon today. A filet knife. Yay! I also bought some other stuff, a book called The Accidental Time Machine, two volumes of Death Note, and two shirts.

This reminds me, I have to re-read Mothership and find all the editing errors. For some reason, while some people have thought in my life that I cannot write, I can sure edit the hell out of things. I like editing things, I find it fun.

The other day I finished a book called Monsters of Templeton. It seems like something I usually would not read, which I suppose is right, but it was very, very good. I quite liked it. It is a very 'chick' book. Normally I read fantasy and sci-fi, or some kind of mystery (religion ones are best). The only reason I even picked it up was because the cover was pretty.

That is about all for now I guess. Today was my day off, I haven't felt that good all day. Kind of sick-ish.

Work was much better today. I had fun actually, which has become rare. Ah well.

So, today I bought three books. Well, one is an actual novel, the other two are manga. Fruits Basket vol. 19, and The Gentlemen's Alliance vol. 2 are the manga books. Both of the Shoujo variety. The novel is a book called Half World by Hiromi Goto. What drew me to it was the fact the cover was not a photo like many books today, but instead art. I do tend to judge books by their covers as to whether I should get them or not. If it has art work, there is a high chance I'll be interested, as I adore art. If it's a photo or such, it must be interesting. The thing is, I read the summary, and it sounded really interesting. I do have to ask though, why I tend to read stuff not quite at my reading level... I know I can read complicated books and enjoy them greatly, I don't know I guess.

It's interesting listening to Niji, which has rain sounds in it during an actual rain storm.

Our first night storm of the year. It's quite relaxing is it not? Peaceful in its own way. Also, I'm the only human technically awake in my home, so it's silent in a weird way. I like it.

I don't know what to do with my nails during my trip to Alberta. I cannot decide between a solid colour or artistic nails. If I did artistic stuff, it would be red background with black art. I suppose I'll decide later.

Well, I should sleep. I work at nine thirty in the morning after all.

I really just type here as a way to place thoughts. Behind cut due to randomness, yet it's not random, I just felt like cutting it. I wonder if I kept going, could I make the cut as long as the entry? Naw. )

Radio rip of Koi no ABO is out. It's disco. :O It's also about blood types, and there is a severe lack of Pi. I like it. Tegoshi is also quite awesome. :D

I'm kind of sad right now. I finished watching an eleven episode series, and, so sad. I'm such a sucker for sappy things, and because of that, and from when I was little, I cry really easy when it gets to a point. Ah well. I recommend it to anyone, actually anyone who is interesting in Japanese Television (I hate how I will watch anything from anywhere... I watch VisionTV when it's East Indian stuff because I find it horribly interesting... Bah), more specifially Japanese Dramas, I recommend the following (in no particular order, and because I felt like it, the themes):
1. Maou (2008) Theme: Arashi - truth
2. Nobuta wo Produce (2005) Theme: Shuji to Akira - Seishun Amigo
3. Kurosagi (2006) Theme: Yamashita Tomohisa - Daite Senorita
4. Bloody Monday (2008) Theme: flumpool - Over the Rain ~Hikari no Hashi~
5. Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (2007) Themes: Orange Range - Ikenai Taiyo, Otsuka Ai - PEACH
6. 1 Poundno Fukuin (2008) Theme: KAT-TUN - LIPS
Anyways... Three of those are fairly happy, while three are more of a suspence kind, but very, very good, well in my opinion.

I went to Winnipeg on Wednesday and did some shopping. I came back with two books, two sweaters-things, and two cds (The ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah.). The books I bought were Torchwood's Slow Decay and Neil Gaiman's American Gods. The cds were two by Hot Hot Heat.

So, at the end of last year I told myself, "Ashley, you will see a movie a month in 2009!" Well, that's going well. I went and saw Marley & Me, Bride Wars, and Inkheart. I saw M&M with my family, and the other two with a co-worker/friend this past Thursday night. I shall now write a bit about them, well how I thought, under this cut...

Click the cut for movie stuff... Possible Spoilers! Spoilers not just for movies, other things bleed in. )

Now that that (for some reason typing/writing 'that that' has always bothered me, even though it fits) is over, I have one last message.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIMON!

... It's 4.05 in the morning. Sorry I cannot come to your party, I must work.

A-hoy-hoy.

Impressive... My iTunes started playing where I closed it yesterday. That's never happened to me before, or I never noticed. Could be either. Beautiful by Smashing Pumpkins.

So, typing up essays isn't good for my health. I start doing html to do things such as italics, instead of the whole ctrl+I thing you normally do... I write online way to much for my own good. I suppose that's alright though, as it means I still have some sembliance of grammar.

Today I signed up for university next year. I'm taking Human Orgins, Writing for University Science (this is a random filler to give me three more credit hours so I can take Dystopian Futures and Science Fiction english courses, as you need six credit hours, and I currently have three.), General Chem one and two, General Physics one and two, Calculus one and two, and Intro to Sociology (I think this is right... Can't remember properly on that last one.). Some how, I had no problem signing up, and didn't have to change them around like I did last year, mind I was a bit late last year. I won't be able to work Tuesdays or Wednesdays (I'm dancing about that one), as those are my busy days. My boss is going to be all, "Why do you keep signing up for things on Tuesdays?" for a week again. Can't help it I suppose.

I might end up doing English rather than Science in the future. I'm enjoying university english way more than high school english. I managed a fairly good mark too. Maybe it's because high school english is stupid? Or I grew up a little.

I'm looking for book recommendations. On that note, here is an e-book. Enjoy if you download.

I can't go to Iron Man on Monday now. I have to close (this is all Brendyn's fault by the way. All the bastards fault. The sad part is, bastard isn't even an insult for him...) the store that night. Quite sad. I don't work Wednesday night though.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is an excellent movie. I quite recommend it to everyone. Also, Russell Brand for the win! He's quite awesome, as he is fairly funny. Either way.

Also, Christian Bale is Welsh (Liz and I were discussing this.) and he grew up in California, Portugal, and Oxfordshire and Dorset (England). So, I believe we are both right and wrong. Heh.

Today was a stupid day as well. I was late for work, it was freakishly busy, didn't get out until half past eleven, and wound up not teaching supervisor the entire night as it was too busy. I also kept muttering/trying to teach fuck off in Welsh. This reminds me I want to learn Gaelic (Gei-lic (Irish), Galic (Scotish). Got to remember the differences.). Ooo, or Welsh. Any of the three really, I'm quite fond of them. Now if only I could find my Scots Gaelic dictionary.

Also, if you watch the Doctor Who episode Father's Day, pay attention to the radio playing at a certain point.

Well, got home around 7ish. I had fun. I really did.

Anyways, as soon as we got in there, we headed over to Polo Park. There's no escalator leading right to the food court anymore... Such a sad moment when I realized that. We headed over to CD Plus after grabbing some Orange Julius while we were there. I got one CD. Also, they don't have/are getting rid of the stamp cards. Now it's points cards, so the cashier was awesome and cool and finished off my stamp card, even though I was barely buying anything, and I had a fair amount to go still. I got the Kaiser Chiefs; Yours Truly, Angry Mob. I must say I love it. Then again, I love the Kaiser Chiefs, so it all works. I'm also dumb and didn't notice how the case is. It is seriously made of win. When I opened it (a.k.a. removed the wrappings), I squeed. Brain was on vacation as well, but it's in the shape of a book. It's very bookish. I love it. Also, it's the special edition one, with the dvd disk as well.

Then it was off to Portage Place. My sister had a doctor appointment near there, so spent about an hour wandering around there. I bought a belt, and went to Book Fair which is a little store I have to go down steps to get into. I love wandering around it. It has a bunch of used books, and around half of the store is engulfed in comics. I got these comics; [One with Ten and Martha], and [One with the lovely, scarfy Four]. I quite enjoyed them both. Yes. And I just typed 'boosh' instead of 'both' there... Anyways.

After that, we went and checked into a hotel, then went to have supper at The Olive Garden. So, when I am there, I eat out on soup, breadsticks and my entree. I also love lots of parm. cheese on everything there, especially my soup. While the server was putting the cheese on my soup, all that was going through my head was, "Cheese is a kind of meat..." [lyrics], and as I was eating my soup, the other songs, which goes, "Soup Soup, a Tasty Soup Soup..." [lyrics]. Yep, not weird at all.

On to the next morning. First stop, the Kenatson area, where there are many huges stores. While I was there, I managed to pick up four hoodies (one of which is sleeveless), and two scarves. The one is actually fairly long, but not as long as Four's, which makes me sad.

Then we headed over to the St. Vital area, and in particular, that mall. Had some Yogen Fruz, and was in Chapters, searching for books I want, which I learned, I probably have to order them in. Not to happy about that, but what can we do. Mrs. Gross was there picking up books for the Massey library. Looked like she was having fun. Talked to her for a bit.

Then we headed off to The Forks. Bought a bunch of candy at Sugar Mountain, most particularly, Popeye Sticks. Then inside the main building to get some fudge, and off to the Old Spaghetti Factory. Had more soup ("Soup Soup, A...") and Spaghetti and Meatballs of course. As well as more bread.

All in all, I had an entertaining time, and if you read it all, you shall get applause.
