Frankenstein, you'd better be coming to a place two and a half hours away from here. I mean it, or else I will be disappointed and even more bitter. MORE BITTER! Or, well, you know, release it on DVD so I can buy it. (Welcome to, when two things I like combine.) WHICH REMINDS ME! Where did I put my copy of the book? I need to finish that at some point... I keep misplacing it, which just does not work for finishing. Obviously it's the book's fault for not being large and obnoxious.

On the almost topic of DVDs, I'm kind of upset My Life In Film hasn't been released to DVD. I mean, this show, it's hilarious (the first three are my favourite three). On that topic, if you haven't watched it, I'd definitely say you should. I found it amazing (and the only reason I started was because I found the screencaps and gifs amusing). It's all up on YouTube in decent quality if you want to watch (I don't know where there might be a dl).

Episode Reference
Episode 1: Top Gun One Two Three
Episode 2: Rear Window One Two Three
Episode 3: The Shining One Two Three
Episode 4: Shallow Grave One Two Three
Episode 5: One Two Three
Episode 6: Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid One Two Three

It's kind of sad in a way that this show didn't get much attention when it was on. It's pretty darn funny, and it's a shame it only got one series of six episodes.

Nothing much in regards to life is going on. I continue to not head outside all that often, and so, nothing to report. Well, I guess the fact I'm not in the funk I got myself in on Saturday is something to report... I suppose!

Now I just start talking media... No spoilers, just me being weird. Oh, wait, I was already talking media... Rest behind the cut~ )

I must remember to just ignore things involving Justin Bieber for a while now. When I hear anything regarding him, my brain breaks. Not in the good way either. I seriously cannot stand the kid a larger amount than most famous people. Stupid W5... On the other note, their documentary about the guy cheating people out of money, and burying the wrong people (while so very aware) in the wrong spots was very interesting, well, the amount I watched of it.

My hands are all sore and stuff. D: This means I can't paint or do such things right now (typing is alright though... Holding a pen or something, not so much)... Maybe later on tonight. I still have to add something to what I'm doing, but otherwise it's all cleaned up (and a few things changed here and there), and ready. The other thing is though, the paints I intend to use are kind of lol-worthy, but it should work. Should.
EDIT Finished painting. Now it needs to dry.

Because of that though, I think I'm going to clean up AVS a bit, now that I finally know how to properly use the scrapbook function... Or maybe it's because it's finally working properly for me, though it's not like I really tried before. It also means I can remove some stuff from photobucket, specifically the picture that keeps getting hits, but I don't know how... At all... It's posted somewhere I didn't post it, and I don't know where at all... This is worrying to me for some strange reason.

I worked all day today, and it worked out nicely for the most part. I worked with Goldie/Minor, which is always fun. He's such a weird kid, and I continued to have Jump in the Line stuck in my head, for two straight days... This is all Maru-players fault, and the couch dancing, and having me decide on the song. Though, I do suppose it was either that or Voodoo Child or I Can't Decide, oh, also, Starz In Their Eyes was also an option. It did get Oh Death out of my head though, although I do like that song quite a bit. Actually, I didn't mind having Jump in the Line stuck in my head. It made time go by faster, though at one point I was singing Eyes with Delight instead.

I need to get with it and watch the stuff on my computer... I watched Doctor Who last night, and I'm debating doing another re-watch, and I have the latest Supernatural episode from Thursday, as I opted out and did something, rather than sitting at home and watching it when it was on tele. I did though, book off this up coming Thursday to watch the season finale, because seriously, the only shows I actually watch on tele lately are Castle, The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, and if I'm home, Doctor Who (which is gloriously unedited length wise now here, take that CBC).

Well, well. I'm posting at a reasonable time. Now that I think, this has been happening more lately, though not as much as I would like... It's not exactly opportune to post at 3/4 in the morning, when your entries take from somewhere between .5-2 hours to type up (because I have a horrible distraction rate).

I finally got to watch the Supernatural episode from last Thursday on Wednesday and promtly watched the next episode the next day. Ah, such a happy fangirl I am, I am. Both episodes were so good, or I have special fangirl glasses. Either way, Supernatural is always exciting, and on the topic of that, my ex-coworker turned co-worker watched My Bloody Valentine the other day, and was quite impressed by Jensen Ackles and his acting, oh, and his looks too, and so I am now lending her the first season on Monday.

This reminds me, someone has my Torchwood novel... I should get that back eventually.

I'm debating being a crazy fangirl and watching The Eleventh Hour once more before bed, despite the fact I work at nine thirty... Ah hell, I should watch it again. Then I'll watch it on the seventeenth again. Ah, can you tell I was an impatient fangirl and could not wait the two weeks? Seriously though, I'm liking Eleven. I don't understand why people were worried. He wonderful I think. Falls into the insane part quite nicely, though I guess a fair bit were sad because the pretty was leaving... One of the only pretty Doctors though, so why should it matter anyways? Ah, why much Doctor Who be so wonderful.

The 22nd can not come fast enough. Then I have four months of freedom to fangirl, ah, so happy. AH! Hurry up time, hurry up. Then I can watch my Dramas, Doctor Who, and Supernatural in peace. Oh, and catch up on my tokusatsu as well. Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, I have been neglecting you for far too long.

Also, people studying anthro seriously need a TARDIS so they stop going "Oh woe! We can't know how things were, so sad.", well, that isn't all of them, just some of them.

Ah, Eleven, you are awesome.

I want to try some different food...

*twirls out like an idiot*

I have quite the headache, and yet I have my headphones on in full force. Drowns out the other noises that bother my ears I suppose.

So, I work on quite the main street through my city (I consider it a town myself, but population wise it is a city). That doesn't sound quite right, so I shall say that in a different way. The building in which my work occupies is on a main street in my town, and yesterday was the day that the Olympic Torch was to be run through. Now, I was to be working when they were here, and completely didn't check the route at all, and so I thought I wouldn't see it at all. Totally passed infront of my work, so I watched outside my window. Pretty fire.

On a similar note, I wonder if David Tennant will run the torch at all in 2012 in London. It would cause some fan freakouts, which are always amusing.

I do believe I like Adam Lambert. Pretty voice...

So, I got on pondering television of the last decade that I have quite enjoyed, so I'm going to write a list, and some random paragraphs. Ah, I really just feel like doing this, so I shall!

Clipsie's Favourite Television Series From The Past Decade! (Possible spoilers, though minor, like whoa, seeing as there are clips) )

My fingers hurt from typing...

Also, I really don't have a sports fan mentality at all. When I watch anything sports like, I could care less who wins, and just wants who ever does best too. My family on the other hand do, well, primarily my Mom and Sister, so I just don't understand the yelling at the TV. For curling too.

Exam on Tuesday morning, and then I am free! Also, I have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday off this week, so I'm quite overjoyed... I hate work so much lately. *shakes fist at it* My past few shifts haven't even had proper zone out time! Makes me sad...

I was going through my list of dramas I have watched, as I was adding to it (some Gekidan Engimono and Kindaichi Shonen no Jinkenbo 3), and I was checking some stuff. I have a bunch of random links for songs and stuff after all, and some songs I don't have anywhere in my computer, but I still like them. I really need to get on that.

Random videos... Kind of? )

It's always the maid...

I've never seen the point of the revolver in Clue... The other weapons are relatively silent, so are the rooms sound proof or something? I can understand if there is something silencing it and all, but couldn't they come up with something more entertainingly giggleworthy? Frying Pan in the Conservatory? Seriously though, if the killer's an idiot, then people would hear him! On that note, my two favourite boardgames are Clue and Monopoly, and it is really hard to find people that will play them with me... Sad.

I seem to have a fondness for using "..." at the end of my sentences. Probably a good thing in a way.

I do believe I shall be going through and watching all of VS Arashi again, finish some drama watching (Why is there so much? I need to finish this before the next season), and possibly attempt to watch Gossip Girl (someone is pestering me to, so I did promise I would watch a bit) over the holidays. See how this goes.

I suppose remembering to do intended research is good... Why did it take so long to check or figure it out? Also, Wizard of Oz. )

Today was do nothing day! I was playing Mario on my DS, but I had no coins to get a save point. I'm on World Six, so one more to go! I'm almost at the castle too, which is awesome. Actually, I was at the castle, but after ten or so times getting killed by the boss (golpher in a tank... wtf?), I just shut her down. It isn't that I have no lives though (I have around 50, as the only time I really die is during boss stages), so I just have to beat the levels I had beat before to get to the castle again, and the levels were relatively easy, so no problem.

I think I need to learn that candies that are really hard are not meant to bite down on and break teeth... Ah well.

Stuffing mixed with hamburger to make burgers is quite good. Anyone who hasn't tried this, I recommend it. Especially with BBQ sauce on top and some cheese.

Wizards to Waverly Place is annoyingly good in the way that it isn't pure perfecting (it is Disney/Family Channel material afterall), but it is good enough that it stays entertaining. I don't know, I just seem to be watching it a lot lately, and I do enjoy it.

I've started to watch Primeval again. So far the first three episodes. It actually slipped my mind that I accidently read a spoiler for the third episode onces, until about half way through, and then I muttered a frustrated damnit. I shall continue watching, I'm just annoyed that it was a very important moment that I got spoiled on. Mind you, I've accidently read into situations displayed in shows on the first episode, got it right, and was then annoyed with myself because reflecting it ruined some enjoyment (I'm looking at you Ryusei no Kizuna, though overall you were quite entertaining).

Must remember to take Alice to work tomorrow.

Back to studying (a.k.a. death).

The term is almost over! Yay! I'm way too happy about that.

So, a certain co-worker is a giant fan of Caterina Scorsone, so I am taping Alice for her, as she has no way of taping it. When she'll actually get to watch it? No body knows, and since I'm taping it, I have decided to watch it (lets ignore the fact that Andrew Lee Potts (Conner!) and Tim Curry being in it helped in my decision). So far, I find it enjoyable. It has been a really long time since I've read or watched anything relating to Alice in Wonderland (partially because certain family members cannot stand the story because they personally find it disturbing), so there is a copy in the house somewhere. Where? No one knows. Seems it was read to me a long, long time ago. So long ago, I don't remember hearing it, but know the story well enough that I'm not all confused, but I still forget random bits.

Of course, watching this reminds me I have yet to see the latest season of Primeval, and I have yet to watch Waters of Mars, and the last two episodes of Children of Earth, so I shall get to that during my break I suppose. It even reminds me that I have a whole list of other stuff to watch, but that can be ignored for now I suppose... Or I'll mix them together. I do have the last two episodes of CoE on video somewhere in the house, as I did tape it during its run (which was the same week of the convention, so it is understandable in a way as to why I didn't see the last two), but as soon as I could watch them, I had already misplaced them (or broken the tapes, as that seems to be happening as of late).

Livejournal seems to be having problems with email alerts lately. Kind of frustrating in a way, but I suppose it is alright... Arg.

You know you watch too much stuff with subtitles, when while searching for something on YouTube, you suddenly wonder why nothing is labelled as having subs, and then you realize the entire thing is in English anyways... I'm not tired at all. >.>;

It still gives me odd amusement to watch people try to turn their arm "backwards", when they can't.

It feels wrong that Feathers McGraw still scares me, which I've never understood why... On that note, Wallace and Gromit is awesome. Still, evil penguin is evil.

I have a test in the morning, so that should be fun. It's anthropology. I made flow charts and shit like that to study. Seems if you do that, seven pages of notes becomes one. I love charts. Either way, this means I'm actually going to be before three, as I'm going right after I post this.

I'm thinking I need to stop cracking my shoulders, elbows, and wrists. It can't possibly be good for me at all. Ah well, I suppose it's alright.

I'm off to sleep now. Night.

It's hot... I think it's going to storm in the next little while due to the heat. Heat means storms, yes? I need winter back. At least I could breathe then, and if I couldn't there was a good reason. Do not like heat.

I will be in Winnipeg this weekend. Yay!

There was something I wanted to type here... Let me think... Damnit.

Fangirling... Yeah, yeah... )

There was a cake party on the 14th. Was fun, yep yep. I do think the having one cake is a good idea though. I haven't even gotten to the stuff I brought home. It's in the freezer. Along with 16 little tubs of ice cream, but that is beside the point.

Other than that, it has only been work and sleep. I wasn't feeling well for a bit today, but that eventually passed.

Today was Nino of Arashi's birthday. The only one I know of birthday wise.

I'm kind of sad right now. I finished watching an eleven episode series, and, so sad. I'm such a sucker for sappy things, and because of that, and from when I was little, I cry really easy when it gets to a point. Ah well. I recommend it to anyone, actually anyone who is interesting in Japanese Television (I hate how I will watch anything from anywhere... I watch VisionTV when it's East Indian stuff because I find it horribly interesting... Bah), more specifially Japanese Dramas, I recommend the following (in no particular order, and because I felt like it, the themes):
1. Maou (2008) Theme: Arashi - truth
2. Nobuta wo Produce (2005) Theme: Shuji to Akira - Seishun Amigo
3. Kurosagi (2006) Theme: Yamashita Tomohisa - Daite Senorita
4. Bloody Monday (2008) Theme: flumpool - Over the Rain ~Hikari no Hashi~
5. Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (2007) Themes: Orange Range - Ikenai Taiyo, Otsuka Ai - PEACH
6. 1 Poundno Fukuin (2008) Theme: KAT-TUN - LIPS
Anyways... Three of those are fairly happy, while three are more of a suspence kind, but very, very good, well in my opinion.

I went to Winnipeg on Wednesday and did some shopping. I came back with two books, two sweaters-things, and two cds (The ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah.). The books I bought were Torchwood's Slow Decay and Neil Gaiman's American Gods. The cds were two by Hot Hot Heat.

So, at the end of last year I told myself, "Ashley, you will see a movie a month in 2009!" Well, that's going well. I went and saw Marley & Me, Bride Wars, and Inkheart. I saw M&M with my family, and the other two with a co-worker/friend this past Thursday night. I shall now write a bit about them, well how I thought, under this cut...

Click the cut for movie stuff... Possible Spoilers! Spoilers not just for movies, other things bleed in. )

Now that that (for some reason typing/writing 'that that' has always bothered me, even though it fits) is over, I have one last message.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIMON!

... It's 4.05 in the morning. Sorry I cannot come to your party, I must work.

So, lately I've been doing something and thinking, 'This will be great to put in my journal. I shall write an entry tonight! Yosh!', and then I get home, sit at mr. Computer, and completely forget what I was going to write about. Ah well. Anyways, I suppose a sad attempt at an entry is welcome.

Lately I've been watching/downloading a lot of Japanese tele. It's just so bloody entertaining. Anyways, there is this one show called Ya-Ya-Yah (it's a variety show of some sorts), and it has this series of episodes where they play a giant game of tag. So entertaining. Looks of fear are fun, plus their reactions are just so cute.

Tomorrow is Sushi Day! Yay! What is happening is two of us at work are getting Sushi for our suppers, instead of our pathetic work food. It started on Friday when I took Sushi and stuff to work. California Roll, Brandon Roll (it's grilled bacon, brocolli tempura, and carrot, topped with BBQ sauce), and Salmon Sushi. First time eating raw fish. I found it quite delicious, though it would be easier to chew without the braces. Because of Friday, Lyle and I decided for Tuesday we would split the cost of food. Therefore, we are getting California Roll, Dynamite Roll, Brandon Roll (it's quite good), and Red Dragon Roll (which is a spicy dynamite roll, topped with torched salmon and masago). We're also getting Gyoza and Seafood Spring Roll. I wish I could eat this stuff everyday, but alas. I'm the only one in my family who eats it, because it's so damn good.

This year has been odd so far, yes?

I work at 4.30...
