You know, I think my favourite show out of everything I watch right now is Sherlock. I mean, it's phenomenal. The acting is spot on, the writing is amazing (I actually prefer this project of Moffat's to Doctor Who. I mean, I love Doctor Who, but this is simply better (and shorter, let's not forget shorter, I like the shortness of it). As soon as this season becomes available here though, oh, I will scoop it up and love it some more. I really need to stop watching it when I'm really tired though (I have a habit to, but I love it, and things I love relax me, so in a way it makes sense).

That being said, I stop and re-watch bits, either because I get distracted by the awesome and miss some dialogue (I can't blame this on accents either, happens all the time with things in my own accent as well, English, I do not understand you sometimes), or a scene is just so wonderful and I want to see it again.

Sherlock Series 2 Episode 1 "A Scandal in Belgravia"

Oh my gosh. This episode. It was so worth the more than a year wait (and it my case, kind of easier, you know, with the whole November thing, and the strange coincidence that it was released in North America on DVD the same week I randomly viewed it). They started it off from the most annoying cliffhanger ever, and then zoomed through to the more present, or, well, the presence of a Miss Irene Adler.

Irene, Irene, I love you, and yet I don't. Oh man, the writing, and this character, just perfect. She's a strong, intelligent woman, not afraid of who she is at all, and it is beautiful. She is beautiful, oh my gosh, she is so very, very attractive. She's just, ugh, so perfect. Irene, I love you~ Also, her battle armour, way to go, that was like, ugh, an amazing plan against Mr. Holmes. Irene~

Okay, so almost cried because of Mrs. Hudson getting attacked. I suddenly just felt horrible, and sick, I mean, it's Mrs. Hudson. Who would attack that amazing woman? I just, ugh, so mad at you men who did that. Fuck, my emotions! She's just so clever, and amazing, and I do wonder how she puts up with those two all the time, but the love between Sherlock, John, and Mrs. Hudson. ;-; I just, they're such a great unit. THE LOVE! Anyway, I do love Mrs. Hudson, she's rather clever and brilliant. I do love how her being weepy was a ploy to play a good game of keep-away, and that she made it ridiculously obvious that the place had been broken into. I just, I love her, okay?

MOLLY! Oh Molly, I guess some people take her to be a negative representation of females, but that's hardly the truth. People like that exist, and while it's not the best representation, that doesn't make it any less true to life. Molly is beautiful through it all, she really is. Sure, she loves Sherlock, and I think some people see that as a weakness, and really just think she's a terrible character because of it, but I don't. Also! Also! What is this? Sherlock apologising to Molly! I, just, that scene was rather beautiful, and shocking, and Sherlock apologised to someone!

I still can't get over how brilliantly cast this show is.

Sherlock, oh dear Sherlock, you're still brilliant and amazing, and I do love your character, and I enjoy that I can get irritated at you. Where's the fun if you can't get irritated at a character? His getting John to punch him in the face, I just, these two! Their friendship! Their love! I wonder if I'll get shot for talking about shippy things, but they're so beautiful together. ;-; I mean, I don't even care, they need each other because they are Sherlock and John, it's not whether they're sleeping together or being all romance to each other, they just must be together because they complete each other in a way. Everyone seems to mistake them for a couple though, and here the jokes/inferences don't grate on me (don't even get me started on why they bother me in Supernatural), because really, they're together, buddies, friends, amigos, boyfriends, whatever you want to call them, their togetherness is all that really matters, not whether they're fucking. Ahaha, I love how I started talking about how brilliant Sherlock is and turned it into a Sherlock/John moment. Though, John was a bit jealous in this episode, ah, it was so obvious. Irene, making John have feelings~

Anyway, right, Sherlock being awesome, and totally fooled by Irene for the most part, and their bouncing back and forth, each winning at their own times, each frustrating each other. I loved them together here. Ugh, so beautiful.

“Initially he wanted to be a pirate” -Mycroft Holmes
Obviously Sherlock and I should be friends. Who wouldn't want to be a pirate? Pirates are the coolest. Oh, Sherlock, I love you~

Sherlock yelling at Mycroft when he told Mrs. Hudson to "shut up". I just, I love them, and good on him for scolding him, and how Sherlock is it to then turn around and tell her to shut up, but getting the apology first. Love, love, love.

"I Am Sher-Locked." I laughed.

I just, I love this show so much!

So, that's just a huge ramble and a half. Seriously though, I recommend the show. It's actually quite good. It has it's problems (all shows have their problems), but it's very enjoyable.
