I'm so wanting a new cell phone. Mine is just lame. Problem is, there really aren't any real cool phones avaliable in North America at all. Makes me sad really. By really cool phones, I mean eye-catching. I think I focus on visuals too much for objects sometimes.

On the mention of visuals. Yes, there were more Canada Day fireworks this year, but there really was no rhyme or reason to how they were shot off. The people I was with all thought they were wonderful because there were more, but they didn't seem to care how they were executed at all. Maybe I'm just picky, but there is a better way to shoot off fireworks then to just shoot them off. I felt the Summer Fair had much better fireworks because they used complimenting fireworks when they shot off certain ones, not just what ever they felt like. Theirs also fit in the space they used for range, while the Canada Day ones had much more space avaliable, but only shot off in a very limited range. I'm being way to picky about this, but if you are going to raise a budget, make it visually appealing.

I have just finished working seven days in a row/ten out of eleven days. Which means a weekend of camping! I will be going to Adam Lake this weekend. Looking forward to it, as I haven't been there is quite some time.

Some people pointed this out to me recently that I act weird for a girl, and I've actually decided to not care at all. The biggest thing that bothered me I suppose was someone pointing out that I ate funny for being a girl. Do people really waste their time thinking about this? Not everyone takes dainty bites of there food, and so it takes them around an hour to finish one piece of food. People have to eat in a rush too you know. Silly young kids.

I kind of want some pasta right now. Or some instant ramen. Either would be fine. I'm in the mood for some noodly goodness.

Yesterday I went to eat a jello cup, and tried a bit. Is jello supposed to be that sweet? If something is seriously sweet, it's kind of disgusting I find. That would explain my not eating the icing on cake, not eating a whole lot of sugar, and the limited amount of sugar I can eat in a day. It's kind of painful to eat, and it tastes funny. On that note, I can eat fruits, melons, and vegetables like there is not tomorrow. I don't like jams and juices though. I get scolded a fair bit for that sometimes. Spicy food is also a go ahead for me.

Today someone bought me a surprise milkshake. It had chocolate and strawberry in it, which is a fairly good combi by itself, but they also put fudge in it. It's good if you drink it fast, and a little odd at the same time. When the ice cream part melts, your left with a slimy and kind of weird bit of fudge. Also, if you leave it, the fudge settles out of the mixture on the bottom, and it isn't that good in the long run. I actually wouldn't recommend this drink to anyone. It's in the no pile, along with a float using pepsi and chocolate chip ice cream. Bad ideas all around.

Someone asked me whether you know how to love from when you are born, or are you taught how to love? It's like asking whether a baby knows how to smile from birth (I'm pretty sure that is a taught thing through watching, but you know, some people won't hear that opinion). I'm on the fence on this one, as emotions are a tricky subject, but someone used the defence that a child knows who their mother is because it heard their voice the entire nine months, which is complete shit, as there is no self awareness for a good chunk. Bah.

California by Wave is a good song, ne?

So, here at home, we are on a strict diet of chicken, turkey, vegetables, and white fish. I think it's good I adore all of them somewhat. Fruit is not safe around me at all. I think I eat to much of it, but it gives energy and is delicious, so who am I to complain. My top fruits are...

Strawberry, carambola, raspberry, blueberry, saskatoon, blackberry, mango, orange, apple, asian pear, pear, melon, ect... Now that I think of it, there really isn't a fruit I don't like that I can think of. Peppers are fruits too, are they not? Quite delicious really. Instead of candy, fruit is better is it not? Oh! Pineapples are mood-ish. Sometimes I just cannot eat them for some reason, and I find they taste better dried. Yay fruit! Yay seafood! I kind of want egg nog now.

I think I need to be more social. The only problem is, that seems like so much work, and it's not something I enjoy. *sigh* I like talking to people, but I just can't at the same time. I should just become a hermit. Might be a good choice for me, but I love the internets. I know I can live without it, as there are so many other things to do, and I do live without it often (it doesn't seem like it, but when I go away, I don't even think about it), but there are some things I cannot do because of the computer now. I can watch interesting things on tv, but as soon as it becomes uninteresting, I decide sleeping is much more interesting. Mind, a fair bit of tv is quite boring. Interesting how I started talking about being more social here and changed the topic in a few swift movements.

I feel I have nothing much to smile of as of late. I don't know, I can smile on command, and do when I'm being polite to customers most of the time (sometimes I just cannot smile though). I don't know. Also, my silent laugh is now slightly morphing into a bit of a cackle or sorts. It's become more evident as to why I'm laughing, instead of a vision of gasping and eventually convulsing on the floor like usual. I really can't breathe when I'm laughing like that.

My mom is wanting to save up money for Sept/Oct 2010. Turns out there is a thing in Ireland at that time she would really like to go to. It's a graveyard/ancestry thing, as she is trying to trace our family history. She's doing quite well I must say. I end up going to cemetaries with her for researching purposes. We take pictures of family headstones and check dates through that stuff. It's entertaining really. I like cemetaries. I like cemetaries quite a lot. So relaxing they are. Anyways, on Friday we did one such thing in Oak Lake, and we were looking for one headstone, and for what ever reason, we just couldn't find it. We walked around the whole thing before finding it. The real lame thing is, you could see it plain as day from where we parked the vehicle, and the lettering was really big too. Feel kind of silly because of that.

Co-workers, please don't call me at one in the morning because you are stupid, thank you.

What the hell is Twitter?

Silence can be quite deafening. Very much so, yet why does it seem to bring a form of happiness?

So, got back from my little trip. I love playing the tourist. So much fun. Doesn't matter where I go, I'll just do it. Maybe it's because I did this quite often during trips for Racquetball as a child? Most likely. I took lots of pictures, and had a fair amount of fun, despite it being only Regina/Moose Jaw/Asessippi.

Also, how do people get homesick? I doubt I'll ever understand that. Mind you, I have seen people get room-sick, which was really on crack. I saw this one time when I was at a sleep-over (first and last) with a 'friend' named Kelsi B. This was a long time ago, and it was decided we would stay in an entirely different room in her house than her bedroom. Now, it was time to go to sleep (very tired, yes), and she started to cry I do believe. Then we had to move to a different room. She also started to cry in that room, so eventually I was left in a different room and she to her bed room. This entire experience baffles me even to this day. It's your own house for crying out loud!

I actually want to go bad to Moose Jaw. I kind of liked it there.

Now, off to watch Eurovision.

Meme: I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself? Any old thing at all, the more trivial and fascinating, the better. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they enjoy nose-picking on balmy summer evenings, and have a giant birthmark shaped like a wildebeest on their right buttock."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

Random Question: What two shows would you love to see crossed over for an episode? I saw this in a community, and couldn't resist asking.
